For over 50 years, HealthKeeperz has set the standard for home health care in North Carolina. The company’s roots can be traced back to a humble corner pharmacy in Pembroke, North Carolina. More than 150 hardworking people are employed by the company that founder Howard Brooks grew over the years to serve 12 counties in southeastern North Carolina.
HealthKeeperz’s primary objective is to alleviate client pain as a public service. By working with patients and their families to develop a personalized health plan, HealthKeeperz helps them avoid costly and unpleasant hospitalizations in favor of getting benefits in the comfort of their own homes. Patients’ families can get in-home medical services and supplies, including nursing, therapy, case management, and hospice care—all of which are covered by Medicare. At HealthKeeperz, we care for the whole person, not just the sick. Each healthcare professional is committed to providing care focused on the needs of the entire person, emphasizing compassion (body, mind, and spirit).
All employees at HealthKeeperz share a dedication to providing quality, patient-centered care. Their unwavering commitment to following the rules is indicative of this. The Accreditation Commission has accredited the home medical equipment department for Health Care. The North Carolina Association of Medical Devices Suppliers, the North Carolina Association of Home and Hospice Care, and the Carolinas Center for Hospice and End-of-Life Care are all organizations with which HealthKeeperz is involved. North and South Carolina have issued certificates and permits to operate under Medicare and Medicaid, respectively.
