Ross Levinsohn Chosen as Maven’s Chief Executive Officer
In 2000, Maven selected Ross Levinsohn to head up the company as CEO, and this selection was a natural one. Levinsohn is a graduate of American University, and he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1985. Since then, he has worked hard throughout his 36-year career to propel the media tech space into the future. His quality education has been combined with a passion for progressive innovation, an innovative mindset and a strong work ethic. With these elements serving as a foundation for his career, he was off to a great start when he joined HBO as its Director of Production and Marketing only a few years after graduating from college.
He then spent time working as CBS Sportsline’s Vice President of Programming, and this was followed by joining Alta Vista as its General Manager. Fox Interactive Media then hired Ross Levinsohn to serve as President. In this role, Levinsohn was affiliated with the company’s many notable brands. A few of these included IGN, FoxNews.com, Fox.com, FoxSports.com and a others.
Later in his career, Ross Levinsohn held executive-level positions at media tech firms like Guggenheim Digital Media, Yahoo!, Whisper Advisors, The Boston Consulting Group, Tribune Publishing Company and Thryv. These positions have collectively affiliated Levinsohn with the Film Expo Group, AdWeek, the Hollywood Reporter, the Baltimore Sun, Dick Clark Productions, the New York Daily News, the Clio Awards, the Los Angeles Times and other prominent entitites.
